BLAKE HOUSE, SOLIHULL
This 3 storey office building has been extensively refurbished and renovated to provide contemporary, Grade A office space.
Working with partners Gerald Eve LLP, Estilo Interiors was commissioned by the owner of the property to breathe new life into this office building, originally built in 1999, all with an eye on sustainability and reducing any environmental impact.
HOW WE DID IT
Works included the introduction of dedicated new shower and changing facilities for building users. As well as creating new super loo type facilities throughout the three floors of accommodation.
On the ground floor, a small business lounge extending through from the enlarged reception space was created and furnished.
It was important to the client to improve the building’s environmental credentials, so the refurbishment included new efficient LED lighting systems and controls, upgraded mechanical services, the addition of a PV farm on the roof and additional Electric Vehicle charging points.
There were also enhancements made to the external landscaping to improve the kerb appeal. It was hoped that the building would be let to a single occupier. However, the implemented design allowed for a different scenario with multiple tenants.
