MAPP

Creation of a new national hub space to include Wellâ„¢ Certification and RICS SKA Gold Rating

THE PROJECT

We worked with longtime client MAPP to provide a combined CAT A & CAT B fit-out to their existing head office accommodation. MAPP’s objective was to create a collaborative and agile workspace capable of accommodating up to 150 people. The office fit-out aimed to include varied work settings, increased meeting facilities, and a professional business lounge with hospitality and meeting suite. The project’s design brief required meeting rooms to have high levels of ambient acoustic control with upholstered wall panels. The design had to be influenced by MAPP’s core values, which include People Plan, Pursue Adventure, and Avoid Ambiguity.

CLIENT: MAPP
PROJECT: CAT A & B
DURATION: 16 WEEKS
CONTRACT: DESIGN & BUILD

HOW WE DID IT

The project involved the complete replacement of the existing HVAC systems and MEP building services to suit the proposed layout. The turnkey offering provided by Estilo included the design and build of interior fit-out, MEP building services, and FF&E (loose furniture) elements. The combination of open plan office accommodation, complete with associated conferencing, break-out, and collaborative work zones, was implemented. Task seating was installed around the windows to enable employees to enjoy natural light.

Making sustainable choices for the project was vital to MAPP, demonstrating to clients and customers that they practice what they preach. Early in the project inception, the target of SKA Gold standard was agreed and implemented. A large part of achieving SKA Gold was for the staff, as employee well-being was a crucial part of the sustainability initiative. Real planting and fresh fruit, welcome packs on arrival at the new HQ, and lots of staff initiatives and CSR were undertaken by MAPP.

THE RESULT

The project was a resounding success. MAPP’s partnership with Estilo ensured that the project’s objectives were met, and the design was delivered to the highest standards. The project’s sustainability initiatives, including achieving SKA Gold standard, demonstrated MAPP’s commitment to practicing what they preach. The challenges encountered were addressed swiftly, ensuring that the project was completed on time and within budget. MAPP now has a collaborative and agile workspace capable of accommodating up to 150 people, providing varied work settings, increased meeting facilities, and a professional business lounge with hospitality and meeting suite.

We wanted to create a high quality, agile office fit for the 21st century. Lucy and her team understood our brief perfectly and delivered it on time and on budget with the minimum of disruption to our business
