BMET & JLR

Managed by Birmingham Metropolitan College (BMET), the Castle Bromwich Education Business Partnership Centre is one of five similar facilities across Jaguar Land Rover

THE PROJECT

We have been working with BMET since 2006 and have since completed countless fit out and refurbishment projects across their various campuses.

For this project we were asked to create a bright, inspiring and engaging educational space that reflected the forward thinking ethos of Jaguar Land Rover and design a facility in which young people could feel inspired and creative.

CLIENT: BIRMINGHAM METROPOLITAN COLLEGE & JAGUAR LAND ROVER
CONTRACT: DESIGN & BUILD
PROJECT: CAT A & B
DURATION: 12 WEEKS
SIZE: 25,000 SQFT

HOW WE DID IT

We implemented a design to open the centre up to natural light as the existing education block had limited natural light which created a dark atmosphere and created an un engaging learning environment. We also introduced a number of new and high-end technologies to reflect the new educational space.

Working within and linking to an existing building as well as working within a manufacturing plant presented various obstacles throughout this project, but with thorough pre-construction planning, innovative design and high quality workmanship, we made sure the project was delivered without a snag.

This centre has set the precedent high for future educational facilities within Jaguar Land Rover and is a true testament to the professionalism and high standards of our services.

“The refurbishment exceeded expectations and was designed from concept to delivery by Estilo Interiors, who understand the importance of modern dynamic learning spaces”
