Working with longtime client, Pure Offices, to refresh and refurbish their new premises at Edinburgh Park

THE WORK

The work at Edinburgh Park involved multiple enhancements and modifications to transform the space into a modern and functional environment. The project included the removal of all previous tenant Cat A fixtures and fittings, paving the way for a comprehensive renovation.

The refurbishment encompassed various aspects, such as the installation of new partitions, suspended ceilings, breakout spaces, and flooring throughout the building. The mechanical systems were also modified to accommodate the new layout, with supplementary plant equipment introduced to ensure optimal functionality. Additionally, a new power, lighting, and fire alarm system was implemented, enhancing safety and efficiency within the space.

To enhance user experience, the central core toilet facilities underwent refurbishment, providing upgraded amenities for building occupants. The entire space received a fresh coat of paint as part of the redecoration process, revitalising the aesthetics. The main entrance was also altered to create a more inviting and accessible entryway. Furthermore, external improvements, including landscaping enhancements, were implemented to improve the overall appearance of the building.

An added value of the project was the careful consideration and planning during the design and build contract phase. In collaboration with the client team, potential risks were identified and addressed during the tender process. This proactive approach ensured that the project stayed within the client’s budget. Notably, the mechanical package received special attention, with existing systems thoughtfully adapted to retain and reuse approximately 80% of the infrastructure, minimising unnecessary expenses.

The building refurbishment and renovation project successfully revitalised the space, creating a modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment. The meticulous planning and collaboration between the project team and the client team resulted in a cost-effective solution without compromising on quality. The updated facilities, improved entrance, and refreshed aesthetics provided a significant transformation that met the client’s requirements and exceeded expectations.
