THE PROJECT
Transforming a floor at Interchange Place to a fresh, modern space with new facilities to accommodate Wates’ new Birmingham office.
THE WORK
The project involved the removal of suspended ceilings and lighting, as well as the installation of new power and lighting systems to accommodate the updated layout. The HVAC system was reconfigured to align with the new design, and partitions were constructed to define separate areas within the space. Additionally, MF ceilings were installed, and a new tea point was created. Glazed partitions were incorporated to enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the area. The project also included extensive decorations and flooring updates, along with the introduction of new furniture to complete the overall transformation.
The space now offers multiple communal areas for people to break away from their desks and work collaboratively or solely, with a mixture of booths, dining seating and accompanying teapoint.
The breakout seating is smart yet formal to encourage short meetings and chatting amongst team members, rather than long periods of work or formal meetings.
