Estilo Interiors is proud to announce its pivotal role as the chosen interior fit-out contractor for the upcoming revitalisation of Bruntwood’s Cornerblock building, in the heart of Birmingham. This venture, initiated by Bruntwood SciTech, stands as a testament to the shared commitment towards elevating tenant well-being and the overall experience within this dynamic hub.
Revamping Communal Spaces for Collaborative Excellence
Cornerblock is poised for a significant makeover, and Estilo Interiors is excited to be leading the charge. Our expert team is geared up to redefine communal spaces, introducing a contemporary reception area, inviting break-out zones, and thoughtfully designed meeting spaces. The aim is to foster a collaborative environment that echoes innovation, connectivity, and community spirit among the diverse range of tenants.
Innovative Elements Enhancing Tenant Well-being
Works to be undertaken include:
- Revamped Communal Spaces: Cornerblock will undergo a significant transformation, focusing on communal areas to create a vibrant and collaborative environment.
- Innovative Workspaces: Estilo Interiors is set to deliver a new reception area, breakout spaces, meeting rooms, a studio, cardio gym, secure bike storage with maintenance stations, and refurbished changing rooms.
- Timeline: The project is scheduled to commence in February and is expected to conclude in April, providing a swift turnaround for a dynamic workspace.
Bruntwood SciTech’s Strategic Commitment to Birmingham’s Growth
The decision by Bruntwood SciTech to invest in the transformation of Cornerblock is part of their broader commitment to bolster the UK’s innovation economy. Cornerblock, strategically positioned in Birmingham’s central business district, becomes a focal point for attracting global industry leaders. This development follows Bruntwood SciTech’s announcement in October 2023 of a £500m commitment, welcoming Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF) as a partner alongside Bruntwood and Legal & General.
Rob Valentine, Regional Director – West Midlands for Bruntwood SciTech, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “The commencement of work at Cornerblock builds on the momentum gained during Bruntwood SciTech’s recent investments, emphasizing our increased commitment to Birmingham. This focused effort aims to create spaces for innovation-led businesses to connect, collaborate, and grow.”
Contributing to Birmingham’s Innovation Ecosystem
As the refurbishment work kicks off in February, with completion slated for April, Estilo Interiors is dedicated to delivering a transformed Cornerblock that extends beyond aesthetics. Our objective is to curate an environment in line with Bruntwood SciTech’s vision, ensuring Cornerblock becomes a nucleus for innovation, connecting businesses with state-of-the-art workspaces and the support of industry and university partners.
Andrew Moore, Founder & MD of Estilo Interiors, emphasizes the company’s commitment to the partnership with Bruntwood SciTech, saying: “We’re very proud to be part of Cornerblock’s transformation. Our goal, in sync with Bruntwood SciTech, is to provide best-in-class workspaces to the Birmingham market. Our track record of creating functional and innovative offices that support both collaboration and growth will ensure this new space will achieve the best for both the client and end tenants.”
The Cornerblock project signifies not just a refurbishment but a stride towards a future where workspaces inspire creativity, foster well-being, and contribute to Birmingham’s evolution as a leading hub for innovation.
